Very interesting photos! The early riser gets the best pictures. But you weren't one of the 90 or so people trapped on the Angeles Crest Highay yesterday, were you? I still can't understand why they hadn't closed the road on Saturday morning.

Thanks - I was not one among those trapped on the Angeles Crest later Saturday. I drove a few miles that morning and decided to turn around. It was raining hard, there was rock fall in places, and a few flows on the road. Easy enough to navigate at slow speeds, less than ideal if others came along. A truck driver came to blade it off as I left. It is a wonder the road was open at the time, let alone later in the day.
